A wave of excitement filled the halls as Cumberland Elementary School welcomed its newest and youngest students!
Kindergarteners arrived for their first day of school on Friday, August 22, ready to start an amazing year.
In Ms. Gierszewicz's kindergarten class, students gathered on the carpet and received their name tags.
They learned where to put their backpacks and lunch boxes before their teacher read them a captivating story.
In Ms. Wapniarski's kindergarten room, students wasted no time getting to work.
They enjoyed their very first writing lesson, practicing writing their names on a piece of paper.
After the writing exercise, the students joined their teacher on the carpet for a special story time.
The kindergarteners had a fantastic first day and are already looking forward to all the new things they'll learn this year!
